We had the tracker out again on Thursday and she's confident that Radar is still in the area and may have found himself a comfy little den near the railroad tracks. After learning that, we had several groups out flyering and re-flyering on Thursday and then again on Saturday. Hopefully the area is pretty well covered now and the next time Radar makes an appearance in one of the neighborhoods we'll get a sighting.
We're always looking for more help, so if you think you can help get in touch. And as always if you see Radar let us know ASAP!!

I walked along Burke Commons Rd from Burke Commons Ct towards Roberts Pkwy, along both sides of Roberts Pkwy between Burke Commons Rd and Nellie Whit Ln, along Guinea Rd on the South side past the Target, behind the Target to the path to walk across the train tracks, through the VRE parking lot and garage, and along both sides of Colony View Dr from Roberts Rd to Latney Rd. I was only able to put up flyers on wood posts and poles since the rain prevented my duct tape from sticking. I will retrace my steps tomorrow and will try to add more flyers on metal posts if it does not rain. If it is wet, I will continue along Roberts Rd and cover Zion Dr.
ReplyDeleteA bit of advice for people adding signs to posts, especially thin ones. Attach the top of the flyer to the post, then raise the bottom of the flyer about an inch before attaching it instead of pressing it flat against the post. This will produce a small bulge in the middle of the flyer. This bulge will prevent the flyer from bending or wrapping around the post so it is difficult to see and/or read.
